Rain Curtain
You can get the effect of rainfall from your existing pump in your pool as the seen in the features below. This type of flow has to be specially engineered so the water looks uniform. You need approximately 1000 gallons per hour flow from your pump for each foot of rain curtain. A 1/2 hp swimming pool pump should push approximately 4000 gallons per hour.
You can also get this effect on your property by having the water fall into a pondless well as pictured on this shower in front of a picture window. If you click on the image you can also see a short video of the feature at night, on the left. and during the day, on the right.
Another use for a rain curtain is to use it as a doorway or entrance. While its running it will keep someone from entering (unless they don't mind getting wet). You need to be able to create a well below the entrance to catch the water and recirculate to the top.
